A key recommendation of the Transportation Master Plan (TMP), as approved by Council in 2019, was the implementation and enforcement of timed parking in downtown Fergus and Elora. The intent of timed parking is to increase the turnover and availability of prime parking spaces in the downtown areas for the benefit of businesses and shoppers.
The ParkSmart-Alpha Enforcement Team have been retained to provide parking enforcement services within the downtown core areas from May through October, 2023.
