The Fergus Grand Theatre is a performing arts centre, owned and operated by the Township of Centre Wellington. Like venues in communities big and small across Canada, the Fergus Grand Theatre provides a space for the performing arts to flourish. The theatre has hosted everything from local talent, such as community theatre and dance recitals, right up to some of the most captivating Canadian talent. Through this, the theatre has proven its immense impact on our community. .

The economic impact is substantial - on average, for every dollar that’s spent on a theatre ticket another five dollars is spent in the community. But also, and perhaps more importantly, a performing arts centre like the Fergus Grand plays an essential role in building a happy, healthy community, whether by offering targeted programs for youth or seniors, creating opportunities for local actors, dancers, and musicians to express themselves, or by exposing audiences to a diversity of artists and genres through a curated presenting series.

The purpose of this community consultation is to begin a conversation about the role the Fergus Grand Theatre plays in Centre Wellington.
