Water Meter Replacement Program - Project Completion Update

The Township of Centre Wellington is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Water Meter Replacement Program. Over the course of three stages, the program has upgraded water meters for properties connected to the municipal water supply throughout the Township. With Stage 3 now complete, all targeted properties have been contacted and provided with information on installation and appointment scheduling.

Thanks to the cooperation of residents, the program achieved strong participation, with the majority of water meters replaced and remaining installations completed through scheduled appointments. This important infrastructure upgrade will support improved water usage tracking, billing accuracy, and long-term system efficiency.

Background

The Water Meter Replacement Program was completed to provide better service to residents, upgrade technology and improve infrastructure. The program involved replacing water meters and transmitters at addresses that currently had meters approaching the end of their service life.

Neptune Technology Group was contracted by the Township to upgrade water meters in homes and businesses.

This was a mandatory program in accordance with By-Law 2006-080. There was no charge for the meter or the installation.
