The proposed enhancements at Webster Park may include playground replacement, a centralized shade structure with seating, accessible pathways and pedestrian crosswalks, passive open space, and tree planting.

The Webster Park project is proposed to proceed with design and public engagement in 2026, followed by construction in 2027. This phased approach will allow the Township to undertake public engagement before finalizing the design, helping to ensure that the future park layout and amenity mix reflect current community needs and priorities. The project will aim to improve the related landscaping and gathering space, as well as the removal of the existing baseball diamond.

PROJECT UPDATE - October 2026

After reviewing and analyzing all community feedback received from the Accessibility Advisory Committee, the Healthy Communities Advisory Committee, the Key Township Open House (Spring 2026), and the feedback from residents who filled out our survey, staff have revised and prepared a final concept plan for the park.

During community consultation, staff received a number of comments requesting a splash pad at Webster Park; however, based on its size, servicing requirements, and other technical considerations, this park is not a suitable location for a splash pad. Township staff are currently exploring alternative nearby park locations that may be better suited to support this amenity due to greater parking availability and the potential for washroom facilities.
